Namaste

It was nothing she said...for she didn't speak.
It was nothing she had...for she had nothing.
It was nothing she did..for all she did was what she knew how to do..which was nothing special. Really.
What was it - then - about her that caused everyone to stop and stare? Such beauty..such grace..such elegance and strength. Such eloquence in her silent speech. Such harmony in her sweet song.
Spellbound - I too found myself captivated. Holding my breath. Watching and waiting.
And then - as if she knew....as if she was expecting...as if she wanted us all to see - she opened her heart and reached her great neck to the sky. She spread her wings and bowed deeply.
Namaste - I thought.
Namaste.
