The Ballet

It was all so beautiful.

As the curtain rose the scenes unfolded. It was a lake - that was filled with graceful swans. Or - a young girl's bedroom coming alive with her dancing toys. It was a sleeping beauty who awoke to her dreams. It was a romantic heroine...who fought for love and its victorious triumph.

It was a stage set. It was a story. It was a comedy...a tragedy...a romance. It was elegance and grace.

It was a mix of brilliant choreography..of evocative music...of magical light.

The beautiful ballet.

Marcie - this is a photo that is the very definition of Cartier-Bresson's "defining moment"! Talk about being in the right place at the right time! And again, you are inspiring me with your horizontal images - the sky, the geese, the water. And again such lovely muted tones.

(I am currently writing a post for next week called "A Chorus Line" - we are definitely in sync.)
